Education
The Pinnacle Wilderness Program offers participants a unique learning opportunity, allowing them to earn academic credits while addressing their life challenges. By integrating academics with wilderness survival training, our program helps your child see the relevance of academic subjects to "real life," even as they earn academic credits. In addition, the life skills and self-esteem gained through the program set the stage for future academic success.
Through a unique partnership with Blueprint Education, Pinnacle Foundation offers elective credits in various subjects to PathWalkers who complete the program. Thus, participants have the opportunity to further their academic goals through our program, whether the goal is to get ahead in school, catch up to the rest of the student’s class, or simply stay on track for graduation.
Blueprint Education, a private non-profit learning organization, is accredited by North Central Association – Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA-CASI) and the Commission on International and Trans-regional Accreditation (CITA).
For more information on Blueprint Education, visit their website at www.blueprinteducation.org.
While on the trail, students can earn 2.5 accredited education credits by completing the curriculum that incorporates the “Circle of CourageTM” philosophy and strengths with wilderness and survival skills. This allows them to participate in our program during the school year without falling behind in school.
